Chasing a mirage
Beata Rydén works with photography and digital manipulation, often with nature as an important component. With this she aims to create opportunities to reflect upon human existence.
In Chasing a mirage, Rydén has been mirroring landscape images to create new horizons. In a video work we see images of the same landscape, being reshaped,slowly blending together. The word mirage means an image of something that seems to be far away but does not really exist.
The work focuses on the process of change. How nothing in life is permanent. How we constantly change together with the world around us.
