Art Teachers programme<\/span><\/h3>\n

Art and Culture<\/span><\/b> for all is hard-core<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

T<\/span>he vision and strategic goals<\/span> of the Art Faculty include the ambitious and bold statement: <\/span>Art and Cult<\/span><\/i>ure<\/span><\/i> for all!<\/span><\/i> When the students in the Art Teachers program at HDK-Valand <\/span>Academy of Art and Design <\/span>finalize their degree Master of Education in Visual Art, they become important pieces in a l<\/span>arge puzzle to fulfill this vision<\/span>. Th<\/span>is degree will give<\/span> authorization to teach at the Upper Secondary Level of Educa<\/span>tion in Visual Art, meaning that these students<\/span> will be part of shaping<\/span> of<\/span> the next generation of art and design students, as well as<\/span> contributing to the integration of <\/span>knowledge of visual a<\/span>rt into society.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In their final exam, the students must<\/span> manage a<\/span> c<\/span>omplex<\/span> assignment that combines a high level of<\/span> artistic practice, <\/span>advanced knowledge about<\/span> scientific<\/span> th<\/span>eories and<\/span> proven experience in the teaching profession. <\/span>Beyond demonstrating their<\/span> own <\/span>knowledge<\/span>, the students of Art Education <\/span>are expected<\/span> to demonstrate how to create<\/span>, promote and sustain<\/span> an <\/span>event<\/span> of learning<\/span> in Visual Art<\/span> for others<\/span>. <\/span>The methodology they use <\/span>connect <\/span>artistic practice, <\/span>research and teaching,<\/span> enabling the students<\/span> to develop exiting levers to<\/span> inhabit the<\/span> professional toolbox<\/span> of art teachers<\/span>. T<\/span>he<\/span>se<\/span> arts-based <\/span>research <\/span>methods <\/span>adds and sustain<\/span> qualities<\/span> of integrity, sincerity, and (a<\/span>)liveliness<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To achieve the <\/span>important <\/span>goal of inclusion, constant development of <\/span>all <\/span>education is necessary. <\/span>An inclusive education<\/span> needs<\/span> a \u201cScience of Friction\u201d, and <\/span>the <\/span>Master students<\/span> in the Art Teacher program knows how to handle <\/span>friction<\/span>. They work to achieve a vision that is hard-core<\/span>, an art and culture<\/span> for all!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
