Welcome to Eternity<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Welcome to Eternity<\/em> is a digital game concept set in<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>a dystopian future.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The game takes place in a deserted building called<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Eternity, which is best described as a mixture of a<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>big scale PR campaign and a small autonomous<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>city. The player journeys through the building<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>playing as a rat named Mae in search of her lost<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>possessions. During the game the player unravels<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

the story about Eternal\u00a0<\/span>inc.<\/span>\u00a0(the company that owns<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the building), and about where the people who used<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>to live there have\u00a0<\/span>gone.Through<\/span>\u00a0pastel\u00a0<\/span>coloured<\/span>\u00a0illustrations and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>conceptual work I aim to tell of a world where the<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>big corporations rule. How would a society function<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>when a single company has a total monopoly on the<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>market? What does it mean to be human in a world<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>where you\u2019re primarily a consumer?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>My concept consists of about 30 digital illustrations<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and additional text. It\u2019s compiled in a\u00a0<\/span>web based<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>prototype made in Adobe\u00a0<\/span>Xd<\/span>. The Illustrations<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>function as concept art focused on environments<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and characters in the game. I wanted to create a<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>dystopian setting different from the classic postapocalyptic<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>world through my color scheme and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>empty environments. I\u2019ve also been working with<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>game mechanics to design a game concept that<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>would be possible to develop as a playable game.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The whole project can be accessed through the<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>provided link<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
