HOLD YOUR HEAD UP AND SEE YOUR HEROIC-SELF<\/h2>\n

2020, neck piece, brass<\/p>\n

\u201dFemicides, all over the world, over the centuries… Decapitations, the cuts, the death and the silence<\/p>\n

But we can\u2019t frame this issue only as a physical act, since silencing of women is about mobilising the immense strength that we women have<\/p>\n

So beneath under, the act generates itself by constructing an infamous logic of anti-love, an anti-narcissism, in order to make women to hate themselves, be their own enemies<\/p>\n

Over the centuries we women, have been sunken into the darkness of silence, the darkness of being a prisoner of our own bodies and being projected as monstrous<\/p>\n

And we believed that, like we believed when the beautiful young Medusa with lovely head of hair, projected us as the petrifier, the snakes-headed monstrous through an old myth which repeated it self over and over. I believed so too…<\/p>\n

The cut, the silence…<\/p>\n

For me, quite a long, all was \u201dthe silence\u201d. The self image of mine to the mirror was blurry and the voice of mine was below my breath. And I believed that the divorce was the biggest cut<\/p>\n

But in fact it turned into a new beginning, an inner journey as a Woman, a realisation. Realising the actual trauma of my life in fact, was the old me I was told I ought to be<\/p>\n

In the new episode, I am a \u201dself-standing mother\u201d, who is aware of her female body, her strengths. I follow my own voice now in order to move forward in my own path. I became a designer and now in my way to extend my art more over. And hereafter, I love mirrors. Nevertheless, I\u2019m still learning, I\u2019m is still healing<\/p>\n

All Women have been through the sirens of silence, should experience that self-realisation and remember the inner power inside their bodies so they can heal and embrace the beautiful laughing Medusa again in each of us…<\/p>\n

In this sense, this project, with a strong ignition inside, is my own contribution, as an artist, as a mother and as a Woman, to tell our true story through a sculptural form that manifests the presence of an expansive posture\u201d<\/p>\n
